Grief & Bereavement Support at Bridge Hospice
At Bridge Hospice, we don’t believe that grief is something you “get over.” Grief is something you learn to live with, and we’re here to help you figure out just how to do that.
Our grief and bereavement program starts with compassion, dignity, and the understanding that loss looks different for everyone. Whether your loss was recent or years ago, whether your loved one was in hospice care or not, you are welcome here.
We currently offer six free one-on-one grief counseling sessions to anyone in the community who is experiencing grief or loss (regardless of whether your loved one was under our care, another hospice, or not receiving hospice at all). You don’t need to be part of a program or meet any criteria beyond simply needing support.
Our services include:
- Individual grief counseling
- Grief support groups for teens, caregivers, men, and more
- Education on understanding and coping with grief
- Resources for navigating complex or ongoing loss
You’re not expected to have all the answers or to just “move on”. We will meet you where you are and walk with you as you learn to live with your loss.
If you or someone you know could benefit from support, we invite you to reach out.
Meet Our In-House Grief Counselor
Grief support at Bridge Hospice is led by Brianna Wellman, LMSW, a licensed master social worker with a focus in grief, trauma, and end-of-life care. Brianna believes that grief isn’t a problem to be solved; instead, it’s a journey to be honored. She provides compassionate, judgment-free support that meets people where they are, whether they’re feeling overwhelmed, numb, angry, or anything in between.
If you’re not sure where to begin, Brianna can help you take that first step.
