Sharing Love
"To me, being a pet therapy handler is one of the most rewarding things on the planet. Sharing my love of animals and seeing how a person lights up as soon as they meet either Cricket or Spock is just amazing. Also, seeing how kids respond to Cricket after learning that she is totally deaf and still competing and working gives them hope, showing that it’s okay to be different and it doesn’t make you any less. Also, Spock, being a hairless cat, is always going to make someone smile once they make it past his lovable goblin appearance and see his big heart."

Find Passion
"Volunteering brings an incredible sense of fulfillment. From running a food pantry for 17 years to supporting cancer patients with Gildas Club, volunteering has always been my passion. As a newcomer to the Lubbock community, I searched for a cause close to my heart and found Bridge Hospice! Join in, make friends, and give back – it's a fantastic experience!"

Offer Companionship
"I joined hospice care to offer companionship during challenging times. My grandparents, dear to me, faced worsening health, including dementia. Language and distance barriers prevented me from being there. No one should face such struggles alone. I aim to support hospice patients like my grandparents."
- Nitin
Kindness & Love
"I feel blessed by God to pay forward the kindness and love my parents and father-in-law received from Hospice in their end days."
- Deborah
Serving Others
"I chose to volunteer with Hospice care because I have the heart to serve others, and if I can bring some joy to one person, even for a minute, that would make the world less harsh."
- Victoria
Give Back to Lubbock
"My heart led me to volunteer with hospice because it reminds me of my grandparents and father, who benefited from the love and care that the volunteers provided. I wanted to be able to give back to others in their time of need."
